Newcastle United are edging closer to their biggest game of the season when they take on AC Milan at St James' Park at 8pm tonight.
The Champions League last 16 will be rounded out tonight and Newcastle still have a chance of being in the mix if they win tonight, but it will also depend on the result in Dortmund between BvB and Paris Saint-Germain.
A win for Newcastle will ensure they remain in Europe, but that Dortmund result will dictate which competition we play in come the New Year.
Eddie Howe still has a raft of injuries to contend with but has welcomed back a few familiar faces on the bench tonight, although the bench is extremely weak owing to the registration rules for the competition.
Callum Wilson has come in to lead the line for the Magpies with Alexander Isak relegated to the bench with the £20million signing hoping to notch his first ever Champions League goal.
Alongside Isak on the bench is Sean Longstaff who returned to the bench on Sunday. Dan Burn has also made it back from injury earlier than expected but misses out on a place in the starting lineup.
Martin Dubravka has shaken off the illness and the injury that threatened to keep him out and will start between the sticks with Loris Karius on the bench.
The side is strong enough to cause Milan problems, but whether it's strong enough to grab our second win in the competition remains to be seen.
The nerves are intensifying!
