We've been waiting and waiting, but the club has finally released information on ticketing for the first game of its 2023/24 UEFA Champions League campaign against AC Milan at San Siro on Tuesday the 19th of September.

Tickets are priced at £42 with no concessions and will go on sale this afternoon, Wednesday the 6th of September, at 3 p.m. BST to supporters with 65+ loyalty points.

Due to what the club describes as a "tight turnaround of fixtures", the loyalty points requirement will drop twice per day at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Thursday the 7th of September.

NUFC have also confirmed that points drops will happen over this coming weekend if they're required and that supporters must provide their date of birth and place of birth when purchasing tickets.

This information is to be shared with Milan ahead of the fixture, along with ticket holder names, as security personnel at the stadium will check the personal identification of all supporters on arrival at San Siro. Original passports or driving licenses will be accepted, but photographs and photocopies are not permitted.

All tickets are paper ones, there is no digital option. Tickets are "strictly" non-transferable and can only be used by the purchaser under their Newcastle United supporter number. The club claim this is at the request of AC Milan and has nothing to do with them, but it's difficult to believe that after the way ticketing has been handled since the end of last season.

The deeply unpopular "random checks" seen at the Etihad Stadium and Amex Stadium will also be happening in Milan, with some supporters needing to collect their ticket, with ID, from a "convenient location" as near as possible to the away turnstiles.

There will also be a "season ticket holder ballot" for the game, following consultation with supporters, for fans that do not meet the away points threshold at the time it sells out. The ballot will go live after the final points drop and will be open for entry for 24 hours. Only supporters who are successful in the ballot will be charged and contacted by email.

It's great to finally know where we stand ahead of our most exciting away day in decades. Howay the lads!
