Eddie Howe has made a huge call tonight as Newcastle United face Liverpool in the Premier League. Kick-off is 8pm live on Sky Sports.
As reported earlier Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson were late doubts for Newcastle and neither have made it into the matchday squad to face Liverpool.
The big talking point is that Eddie Howe has seen fit to drop the Flamingo from the starting lineup. Miguel Almiron has to make do with a place on the bench. Finally, Howe has seen sense.
We have no doubt he will feature at some point, and truth be told, he can have a big impact off the bench, but it's just good to see Eddie Howe finally doing something.
Given that lineup then, we expect Joelinton to be playing out on the left with Anthony Gordon switching to the right flank.
The bench looks pretty weak yet again, still forced to put up two goalkeepers thanks to the number of injuries.
Meanwhile. Liverpool have gone very strong with their lineup taking no chances.
Dominick Szoboszlai starts as does Darwin Nunez who just loves a goal against us and Mo Salah is in before he takes off to the African Cup of Nations.
Even with Howe's changes, there's still no confidence on this end. Let's just get through this and make sure we're right for Saturday.
