Newcastle United are about to face off against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League and Eddie Howe has a surprise inclusion in his match day squad.
Just yesterday Eddie Howe spoke about how Anthony Gordon hadn't trained this week after twisting his ankle in the game against Luton last week. It was therefore assumed that the pacey winger would not be involved against Nottingham Forest.
Fortunately for us, Anthony Gordon made the trip to Nottingham and finds himself in the starting XI.
Another surprise inclusion in the squad is Jamaal Lascelles who we weren't expecting to be fit enough just yet.
The bench looks really solid for the first time in a long time. We have Harvey Barnes, Jacob Murphy and Tino Livramento who are all more than capable of changing the game.
We were right about Dan Burn starting. We didn't think Howe would drop him now, not with so much attention on him, it would shatter Burn's confidence, and after everything Howe has said about him lately, he has to stand by his words.
Hopefully, Anthony Elanga doesn't have as much of a chance to run at Burn this time around as he caused so many problems for us last time out.
Matz Sels is between the sticks for Nottingham Forest almost six years since he left Newcastle after massively failing to impress.
It's going to be an interesting game. Howay Eddie Howe's Not As Injured As You Thought Mags!
