Newcastle United's flying winger Anthony Gordon has been selected as one of the six candidates for November's Player of the Month.
Anthony Gordon has been nothing short of sensational for Newcastle this season.
The rapid winger joined the club in January from Everton and really struggled to get to grips with the intensity that Newcastle train and play with. That's not a dig, he will be the first to admit it, in fact he did at the end of the season.
Gordon set himself a goal over the summer to get caught up to the required level to be successful as part of an Eddie Howe team and he's done that and then some.
The four-part Amazon Prime documentary highlighted just how badly Newcastle wanted Anthony Gordon at the club and how much potential they saw in him and after that slow start, the £45million they paid for him is now starting to look like a real bargain.
I'll be the first to admit I was dubious when it was reported that we were signing him and I felt vindicated in his first few months here, but I've never been more happy to be proved wrong.
Gordon has only missed one game this season which was through suspension, and in his 19 appearances, he's scored five goals and provided four assists. In November he scored that deliciously controversial winner against Arsenal as well as claiming another goal and an assist in the 4-1 demolition of Chelsea.
It's little surprise then that he's on the EA Sports FC Player of the Month list. You can vote for Anthony Gordon here: https://plpotm.easports.com/
The 22-year-old has gone from strength to strength since guiding the England U21s to the European Championship title this summer, picking up Player of the Tournament along the way, so let's help him add another accolade to his collection by voting for him for this month's award.
