Eddie Howe faced the media this morning ahead of tomorrow's Premier League game against Chelsea.

While Newcastle United has an extensive injury list to contend with as well as Sandro Tonali's lengthy ban, there's one player who is fit and raring to go but unable to feature tomorrow and that's 19-year-old Lewis Hall.

Even though Newcastle have a deal in place to buy Hall for an initial £28million in the summer, he's still technically a Chelsea player this season and due to Premier League rules, he is unable to face his parent club.

Newcastle fans are still waiting to see the best of Hall but they know he's got the potential

Hall has made a few appearances for the Magpies this season with mixed results, but Eddie Howe isn't panicking about his form as he knows he's got a future star on his hands.

Howe spoke of Hall in his press conference this morning and praised the versatile fullback for his commitment in training (via The Chronicle).

“His commitment to his training and all the work he’s done behind-the-scenes has been really good. He’s a talented young player for sure. He has a beautiful left foot and he’s got a high level of technical ability.

“There is a real high potential with him. I think there is a few of his areas of his game that need smoothing out and improving but that would be no different to any other young player. We really do believe in him.”

Chelsea fans were furious when Lewis Hall was allowed to leave for Newcastle

The fact that so many Chelsea fans hit the roof when the Blues let Lewis Hall go shows just how much they thought of him.

Newcastle fans are yet to see the best of him but we have seen a few moments already that back up Howe's words.

We can't wait to see more of Hall in the first team. The only way he can truly get up to speed is to play.
