Newcastle United this morning confirmed the launch of its brand-new 2023/24 away kit. This is the "Saudi-inspired" patterned green shirt with black/white trim that made rounds on social media last week.
The club characterises the new design as "a green shirt with a tonal stripe pattern", which will be paired with either white or green shorts on the pitch. Green socks with black cuffs complete the look, making it more or less the reverse of last season's Saudi-inspired third kit.
The "Nested Infant Kit" image from NUFC Shop offers a good preview of what the full thing will look like on a matchday:
The "tonal stripe design" seems to draw inspiration from Wor Flags' stunning visual displays within St. James' Park. Another notable feature of the shirt is the monochrome Newcastle United crest, which is all-black on a green sew-on patch. This colour scheme is mirrored by Sela's front-of-shirt logo, with the Noon sleeve sponsor retaining its black text within a vivid yellow rectangle.
Adult male and female replica shirts are now available for £70, while junior shirts and the complete infant kit are priced at £55 each. All can now be purchased either in-store or online from NUFC, Castore, and other sports retailers that aren't owned by Mike Ashley.
