Amazon Prime Video has today unveiled the official trailer for the eagerly awaited "We Are Newcastle United" documentary series. You can watch it here:
The four-part series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in the UK, Ireland, and the Nordics, with the first instalment scheduled to release at 1 a.m. BST on Friday the 11th of August.
The full release timetable is as follows:
Club legend Alan Shearer will narrate the series, which will offer a unique glimpse into the club's ongoing transformation under Eddie Howe. It grants exclusive access to the club's decision-makers Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Amanda Staveley, Mehrdad Ghodoussi, and Jamie Reuben, and provides a front-row view of the Magpies' amazing 2022/23 season.
The series will primarily examine how the club's off-field decisions affect on-field results, but there does appear to be plenty of video involving Howe and his players. The trailer has content from inside the changing room during games, one-on-one interviews with players like Bruno Guimarães, footage of Kieran Trippier at home with his children, Callum Wilson visiting his old primary school, and much more.
"We Are Newcastle United" has been produced by Lorton Entertainment and 72 Films, a Fremantle company, with executive production by Clare Cameron and three-time BAFTA winner John Douglas.
