Newcastle United defender Emil Krafth has expressed his delight at having a fellow countryman Alexander Isak at the club.

Swedish international Krafth, who joined Newcastle in 2019 admitted that he was glad Isak made the move to Tyneside.

Krafth has made 12 Premier League appearances for the Magpies this season and has been a big part of the squad in the latter stages of the season playing as a central defender due to the number of injuries in the back line.

Krafth has someone to chat with in private.

In an interview with Swedish outlet Sportbladet, Krafth said: "At Bolgona, I had Filip Helander. In France, I had Saman Ghoddos. Here I have Isak.

"It is very nice to have a person with whom you can speak Swedish.

"Having someone to chat with, in private." he added.

It is pretty clear that Krafth's morale is high when he has a Swedish counterpart a the club with him. Would it be useful to get another Swedish player in this summer to make a tremendous trio?

You can tell that the squad all get along, Krafth and Isak are no exception to that.

Looking at the club's YouTube channel, all the challenges and games they play are key indicators that they enjoy each other's company.

The atmosphere away from the cameras is sure to be overwhelmingly positive too.

Long may it continue!
