Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy has found himself in contention for the Premier League Goal of the Month for March.

Murphy's rocket shot against Chelsea is one of the eight options you can vote on for the Budweiser Premier League Goal of the Month, although if we're being honest, he faces some pretty impressive competition.

Watching the contenders, each goal somehow feels better than the last with Murphy up against Yoane Wissa, Marcus Rashford, Phil Foden, Jean-Phillipe Mateta, David Datro Fofana, Dominic Solanke and Rodrigo Muniz.

Murphy is up against some awesome competition

Although let's be honest, Murphy's was good, but there are a few that are more impressive this month.

Brentford's Yoane Wissa gets the ball rolling with a sublime bicycle kick which was flawlessly executed. That's then followed by Marcus Rashford drilling one in off the bar from outside the area against Man City.

Phil Foden's curling effort in the same game is up next, followed by a cheeky back-heel by Crystal Palace's Jean-Phillipe Mateta.

Burnley's Fofana precedes Murphy's entry with a stunning strike into the top corner from 25 yards.

Dominic Solanke's close control and calm finish is up in seventh with the selections rounded out with Rodrigo Muniz's Mark Hughes-ian scissor kick.

You can also vote for Alexander Isak for Player of the Month

Voting with our heart we have to give it to Jacob Murphy, because he's ours, but honestly, we don't feel he stands a chance here as some of the other efforts are out of this world.

Still, we have Alexander Isak in contention for Player of the Month and that's a much more realistic possibility.

Get on over and vote for Isak while you're in the voting mood.
