If ever you needed proof that there's some kind of agenda against Newcastle United we may actually have it right here.

The Premier League have brought in Ben Foster and Anita Abayomi to discuss the best young attacking midfielders in the Premier League this season.

The candidates up for discussion are Chelsea's Cole Palmer, Arsenal's Bukayo Saka, Man City's Phil Foden, Brighton's Simon Adingra, Crystal Palace's Michael Olise and West Ham's Mohammed Kudus.

We can't help but feel there's somebody missing there, can you?

Where the chuff is Anthony Gordon?

Newcastle United's practically nailed-on Player of the Season, Anthony Gordon is suspiciously absent from that list.

Whatever, though, he's only just guided England U21s to the European Championship title while picking up the Player of the Tournament award before going on to light up the Premier League. He's only got as many goals this season than Michael Olise has ... ever.

Palmer, Saka and Foden are fair enough, and Olise is a good player, for sure, I'd have him at Newcastle in a heartbeat, the other two ... meh. But seriously, where is Gordon? NUFC social media is not amused by his absence, and nor are we.

There's still hope they will correct this error

We can only hope they've lumped Gordon into another category otherwise this is an absolute joke. They haven't yet covered the forwards, and maybe they've put Gordon in that category.

Right now though, we've got our pitchforks at the ready, our torches are doused in accelerant and we are ready to march!

Imagine if Anthony Gordon doesn't find himself in the discussion about the best players of the season, young or otherwise. We shall be livid. LIVID.
