Newcastle United get back into the Premier League groove on Saturday as David Moyes brings his West Ham United side to St James' Park - Kick-off is 12:30pm live on TNT Sport.

The international break is over and meaningful football returns at the weekend. Newcastle didn't make it through the break unscathed with youngster Lewis Miley picking up a serious-looking back injury in training with England U20s that could signal the end of his season.

Martin Dubravka withdrew from the Slovakia squad for 'personal reasons' and is expected to be able to face West Ham, while Miguel Almiron returned to Newcastle early after Paraguay's clash with Russia was called off following the terrorist attack in Russia.

Everyone else completed their international tours and returned fit and healthy.

Alfie Harrison was spotted in first-team training

The Magpies were back in training at Darsley Park after those players not called up to their respective country spent a few days in Dubai for warm-weather training.

Serena Taylor was there with her camera giving us a few snapshots of the days graft and also, perhaps a hint as to surprise inclusion on Saturday's squad.

With Lewis Miley absent, it looks like Eddie Howe has turned to the youth pool again and called up the club's only January signing, Alfie Harrison to the first-team training sessions.

Eddie Howe has no problem promoting youth to the first-team

Harrison was spotted in a couple of the photos on the official site, both times captured from behind, but there's no mistaking that haircut.

The 18-year-old, signed from Manchester City, could be in line for a spot on the bench on Saturday as Newcastle's injury-ravaged season continues to give Eddie Howe headaches.

We know that Howe isn't adverse to giving youth a chance if he feels they've earned it. Lewis Miley is of course the shining example of that, but youngster Joe White, also pictured in training today, has also been impressing Howe and has managed to get some first-team minutes under his belt, so we could be about to get our first real look at Harrison in action.
